EuroPride London 06

前幾天經過Soho的時候就看到Soho公園旁的告示牌預告著EuroPride Parade要封路的消息。

今天和Anita午餐後，果真就看到許多gay friends在路上開心慶祝。我個人十分喜歡gay朋友們，

總覺得他們熱情、有趣又善良。台灣的gay朋友比起國外的通常又比較含蓄一點，以前在Soho走走

總是會看到瘋狂的gay朋友在唱歌跳舞，不然逛精品的時候也會有品味獨特的gay朋友雙雙對對的在

挑選傢具、飾品之類的。自從英國通過同志結婚合法化後，總有一種在餐廳裡、戲院中、等公共

場合看到他們的機會大增。不過也有可能是搬到這區的關係，成雙成對的同志又更多了。







anyway,今天介紹這個EuroPride的主要目的是要讓大家正視same sex couples的存在。你/妳

可以自由選擇你/妳愛的，當然也要尊重別人的選擇。我們要鼓勵少數族群"come out"而不是用

法律、道德、宗教來迫害人的自由意志。很可惜阿，今天出門忘記帶相機拍拍相片，不過貼幾張

相片以表我的支持。印象中台灣也有類似的遊行活動，希望在台灣的朋友，可以多多出席、支持

一下嚕！

An estimated 250,000 people celebrated Pride in 2005. Next year we anticipate that this number will more than double as London celebrates EuroPride.



In the 35 years since Pride in London began the LGBT community has truly 'come out'. This year sees the introduction of Civil Partnerships for same sex couples and we have recently seen the end of other homophobic laws including Section 28. Pride is fully inclusive and now embraces our growing acceptance in the world of politics, business, media and entertainment. However there is still a long way to go and Pride is committed to tackling issues including bullying, discrimination and homophobic abuse.



Pride London is now in its third year as a registered charity. The organisation is run by volunteers with a paid Chief Executive. Our aim is to produce a highly professional Pride Festival and an annual Pride Day comprising a Parade through central London, a politically based Rally and free entertainment in central London. Our mission is also to raise awareness and funding for the LGBT community with the ultimate aim of opening a year round community drop-in centre.
